Solidarity Fund Launched on First Anniversary of Earthquakes in Türkiye

The Allianz Foundation and its cooperation partner Postane in Istanbul have launched the “Earthquake Solidarity Fund” to support projects in the earthquake-affected regions in south-east Türkiye. The €150,000 fund’s sponsored projects include reconstruction, support for women and children, and cultural efforts, with the fund open to the participation of other donors.

The first €100,000 of the fund came from the Allianz Foundation, and our Foundation was the first European partner organisation to contribute a further €50,000. The cooperation partner in Istanbul, Postane, a member of the Allianz Foundation Hubs network, has been active in the affected regions since the earthquake and is responsible for implementing the fund. The first selected projects will be supported in March.
