Empowering Ukrainian journalists with 3D scanning to document war heritage

In order to unite people to act for peace, and conquer disinformation and propaganda, innovative documentaries and cultural heritage will be used to inform the people of Ukraine and the EU about the immediate effects of war on Ukrainian cities. An online 3D model and video, 2D visual materials collection of small city locations like a ruined house, bombed tank, rocket, a protected monument, results of bomb shelling on the historical city centres will be brought to life on Sketchfab with a 3D, VR and AR viewer, free to download and examine.
This project by Pixelated Realities aims to collect war-affected cultural heritage sites and the future heritage – places where military action created a completely new and unspeakable scenery – and present them in a multimedia 3D, 2D, video and AR way to immerse and engage viewers of young and young adult audiences into the newest history. War documentation must bring empathy, promote world peace and support Ukrainians in their struggle.
