Culture Action Europe – Changemaker Takeover: Malmö Edition

The project is a spin-off of Culture Action Europe’s ongoing project Pop the Vote! Culture on the Ballot which works with young artists, art school students and cultural workers in 14 EU countries to act as changemakers in their own communities and mobilise them to participate in the European Parliament elections.

After an immersive one-week training in February, a cohort of 44 young has formed a closely-knit community of practice.  Through this project Culture Action Europe aims to embed this group of changemakers into its activities beyond the Pop the Vote! Project. The changemakers will be invited to participate in Culture Action Europe’s Beyond the Obvious (BtO) conference taking place between 29 May and 1 June 2024 in Malmö, Sweden. BtO is an anchor for Culture Action Europe’s strategic vision of hosting and engaging diverse voices across the sector. The changemakers’ presence and contribution to this year’s edition will support ongoing advocacy goals to nurture intergenerational dialogue and expand the learning experiences between BtO attendees.
