Dragolago – Blooming Artists

The project will share the best ways to run contests for kids’ writing and performances to get more kids involved in environmental education. Dragolago and Mastronauta host ‘Scrittoi in Erba’ every year, a writing contest for kids from Italy, Bulgaria, and Germany. This contest is meant to spark creativity, empower kids, and teach about protecting the environment. It takes place in Omegna, Italy, where the famous author Gianni Rodari was born. Children from local councils help organise it and pick the winning stories.

In Pamplona, Spain, Kontalariak hosts the Brif Braf Bruf Festival, all about children’s books and art, inspired by Rodari’s imaginative style. The project will add a new part to this by creating a performance contest for teens in Italy and Germany, with help from the Raum der Kunste organisation.
