We’re Hiring: Executive Advisor to the Director

The European Cultural Foundation (ECF) is looking for an Executive Advisor (Directiesecretaris) to join its team in Amsterdam. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of strategy, governance, and impact, helping to steer one of Europe’s leading cultural foundations to deliver on its 2025–2029 strategy.

In this role, you will work closely with the Director and leadership team, ensuring that governance, planning, and stakeholder engagement all reinforce ECF’s mission. You will help align our internal processes with our external ambitions, support strategic alliances and funder collaborations, and act as a key link between day-to-day practice and long-term vision.

We are looking for someone with excellent organisational and communication skills, a solution-driven mindset, and the ability to work with precision in complex contexts. You should be fluent in Dutch and English and bring relevant experience in organisational development, governance, or policy.
