Register Now – Remote Engagement: Arts and Culture for Youth and Community
6 May 2025
Culture has the power to spark connection, creativity, and local renewal. On 15 May, the Arts and Culture Funders Forum hosts Remote Engagement: Arts and Culture for Youth and Community, the next event in its “Cultural Philanthropy in Action” series. This online discussion will bring together researchers, artists, funders, and practitioners to exchange insights on strengthening cultural life beyond urban centres.
As a participant, the European Cultural Foundation (ECF) draws on its long-standing commitment to fostering belonging, dialogue, and participation in diverse communities. From community projects to transnational collaborations, our work recognises that local cultural life is essential to building more cohesive and imaginative societies. The webinar will include a presentation of LOKAL, an initiative ECF is part of that helps small-town cultural organisations build local partnerships and create community art projects that bring people together.
This event offers a timely space to explore how philanthropy can support artists and organisations often left at the margins of funding conversations. It will highlight practical strategies, examine what works in rural settings, and consider how to evaluate meaningful change over time. It’s a chance to rethink how funders can amplify the impact of arts and culture—wherever people live.
