IDFA: Culture Helps Solidarity Partners in Conversation After ‘Militantropos’ Screening
11 Feb 2026
When everyday life is shaped by war, people still need shared spaces where experiences can be seen, heard and understood together. Culture helps make that possible. Through film and conversation, difficult realities can be faced collectively, keeping dialogue and connection alive.
On 25 February in Amsterdam, IDFA and partners in Culture Helps Solidarity host a screening of Militantropos, followed by a conversation with Ukrainian civil society partners Insha Osvite and the Veteranka Movement. The film reflects how war permeates daily life, while the discussion focuses on how cultural and community actors continue supporting care, dignity and social cohesion under pressure.
This is the kind of work Culture Helps Solidarity strengthens: enabling cultural professionals and civic organisations to sustain well-being, meaning and community ties during and beyond crisis.
