Ethics, Power, and Trust: Display Europe at the International Journalism Festival

As political influence and commercial interests increasingly shape digital information spaces, Display Europe is convening media professionals, policy experts, and civil society actors at the International Journalism Festival to explore the future of independent journalism in Europe. Taking place on 10 April 2025 at Ristorante del Sole Living Cafè in Perugia, Italy the event will challenge participants to reimagine a media landscape grounded in transparency, pluralism, and public trust. 

Since its launch in 2023, Display Europe has fostered a multilingual, federated media network that resists both state and commercial pressures, promoting an inclusive and participatory European public sphere. Speakers and attendees will explore how professional journalism can defend public values and safeguard reliable information in an increasingly fractured media environment.
