Domo Talks: Cities that Connect
17 Sep 2025
Domo Talks launches this October with a conversation on how cities build connections that matter. Under the title Cities that Connect, the first edition will explore how international collaboration between cultural actors and city leaders can strengthen belonging, civic trust, and resilience.
The event marks the public opening of Domo – our new Home for International Cultural Collaboration, shared by the European Cultural Foundation with Cultural Emergency Response, DutchCulture, and the Prince Claus Fund. DOMO is designed as a place where ideas travel, partnerships take shape, and international collaboration becomes part of everyday city life.
Taking place alongside the World Cities Culture Summit in Amsterdam, Cities that Connect responds to a time when culture in Europe faces shrinking budgets and rising polarisation. By focusing on collaboration between cities and cultural communities, it asks how culture can help urban life remain open, creative, and democratic.
