11 Feb 2022

The third edition of the Annual Policy Conversation “A Cultural Deal for Europe” was held successfully February 1 2022, offering a unique platform for dialogue between the European cultural ecosystem with EU policy-makers, advocating for culture to become central in the EU’s green and sustainable future.

The online took place in the framework of the #CulturalDealEU campaign, jointly developed by Culture Action Europe, the European Cultural Foundation, and Europa Nostra also in its capacity as coordinator of the European Heritage Alliance.

In three sessions: ‘Culture for Recovery and Sustainability in Europe‘: ‘Culture and cultural heritage in the European Green Deal‘; and ‘Culture for the Future of Europe‘ European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth Mariya Gabriel, Elisa Ferreira, European Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms, French Minister of Culture Roselyne Bachelot, and many more speakers brought to the spotlight once again the huge value of culture for our society, its vital contribution to our well-being and the need for artists and cultural workers to participate in the change management processes.
