Project title: MO stands with Ukraine
The project MO stands with Ukraine by MO MUSEUM aims to meaningfully occupy vulnerable Ukrainian refugee groups in the MO Museum, helping them to find relaxation through art and improvement on emotional climate but also support their integration and connection in Lithuania. It involves a free audio guide in Ukrainian for the upcoming exhibition “The Meeting That Never Was” (The main idea of the exhibition is to explore the concept of (de)modernization through Lithuanian, American and Western European art and its processes from 1960 to 1990. This exhibition is organised in collaboration with the Van Abbe Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art situated in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. Authors like Guerrilla Girls, Andy Warhol, Bruce Nauman, and Donald Judd will be presented). In addition, at least 9 guided tours will be organised for Ukrainian refugees free of charge, given by Ukrainian tour guides. The project’s assumption is that these outputs will help refugees not only to feel welcome but to get relief and lower their stress. Ukrainian professionals who recently fled to Lithuania will be hired to complete the translations and voiceovers.
