Institute for Media and Analytics Skopje – Fighting Disinformation, Fighting for Democracy

The project ‘Fighting Disinformation, Fighting for Democracy’ by IMA Skopje will empower young influencers from the Western Balkans as democratic voices on social media through the creation of the Network of Young Influencers. Twelve selected activists, artists and podcasters will be trained to detect and engage in countering disinformation, hate speech, and other types of online harmful content. These selected influencers will collaborate in designing and implementing a social media campaign (reels, stories, shorts) to counter disinformation and harmful online content and to promote empathy-inducing experiences of the victims of such content. The project will target young people, specifically from vulnerable groups (girls, LGBTIQ+, ethnic and religious minorities, people with disabilities).
