Forum on European Culture – Disinformation and Empathy

The project ‘Disinformation and Empathy’ connects to the 2025 edition of the Forum on European Culture, themed ‘Art against the Tyrants’, which will take place in Amsterdam in June. It will explore the pressures on European democratic values, focusing on three forces: technology and disinformation, autocrats and citizens. Artists, thinkers, and the public will discuss how these forces undermine democracy and how to resist them. In view of the recent developments in Georgia, the Forum will present the work of the ZEG Storytelling Festival in Tbilisi to its international audience. Inspired by the Georgian tradition of the Supra, this presentation will consist of an evening of two cross-cultural and multi-disciplinary programs (a performance and an interactive art installation), one for a general audience and one for young people.
