In 2010, the Routes laureates were Borka Pavicevic, dramaturge and director of Belgrade’s Centre for Cultural Decontamination which acted as a beacon of hope through troubled times, and the experimental theatre-maker Stefan Kaegi whose documentary-style work reveals the hidden lives of our globalised landscape. Together, their work tackles the twin concerns of the European Cultural Foundation’s diversity focus: long-standing regional diversity and new urban realities.
