i-Portunus Houses was part of the i-Portunus pilot scheme, co-funded by the European Commission, dedicated to testing diverse mobility models for artists, creators and cultural professionals. The i-Portunus Houses pilot focused on hosts, underlining their value in providing efficient residencies and working environments for creative individuals.

We regard the establishment of a programmatic connection between (public) libraries all over Europe engaging millions of citizens as a stimulus for the emergence of a new European Social Network that can fuel a culture of solidarity between individuals and communities, across differences, borders and nationalities.

ECF has long been advocating for more culture in EU external relations. Together with a partner consortium of European cultural institutes, networks and universities, we contribute to the new EU Cultural Relations Platform.
