There are over 180,000 foundations in Europe, but less than 5% focus on Europe itself. This means vital work on migration, climate, rights, culture, and community often happens without shared resources or coordination.
Share Europe is created to change that. It brings together people and institutions that want to act across borders, align efforts, and grow impact together. It’s not a new fund—it’s shared infrastructure.

Foundations to spend a minimum of 1% of their funding for a European purpose.
Share Europe Platform
Where foundations and the EU can share, align and pool resources to:
- Have European Impact by sharing and matching resources;
- Create synergies by using existing infrastructure and knowledge;
- Scale by facilitating EU matching funds;
- Improve Quality by creating quality standards;
- Share culture by connecting the local with the European.
