Forum on European Culture

Who’s afraid of art? Now that tyrants are on the roll and more and more people in the West seem to be falling for the autocratic alternative, De Balie brings together brings together more than forty international guests such as Anne Applebaum, Nino Haratischwili, Andrey Kurkov, Georgi Gospodinov, Mounira al Solh and Ece Temelkuran to celebrate the subversive power of art and literature.

Under the banner Art Against the Tyrants this edition of the Forum on European Culture takes place over five days. In its more than thirty programmes over forty international artists, writers & thinkers participate. Besides live programmes the Forum offers art installations and film screenings.
